2023 Bucks CMS Board Candidates
Vice President Candidate:
John J. Pagan, MD, MBA, FACS
In our Medical Society, diverse physicians effectively address issues that affect our patients and practices. With your vote for election as Vice-President, I will build upon my Bucks County and PAMED organizational experience to enthusiastically assure that the challenges and successes of our local physicians are elevated throughout the region and the state.
As a surgeon from the Upper portion of Bucks County with a recent Masters in Business Administration, I seek to build on my organizational experience to strengthen your voice and our Bucks County Medical Society. I will bring my unparalleled and proven experience, institutional knowledge, and commitment to Pennsylvania physicians as Vice-President as we forge ahead.
I am a proven physician leader: As Speaker for PAMED, previously as PAMED Board Chair, and as a former Director on the BCMS Board, I foster mutual trust and an open dialogue even when we face complex issues. My thorough knowledge of meeting structure and deliberation are essential to ensure your voice is heard at all levels in these robust discussions. Whenever I participate, I strive to assure that fairness always underlies our discussions and decisions.
I have a deep knowledge of Bucks County Medical Society and PAMED: My experience at all levels of leadership provides invaluable understanding of where we have been and how we can strategically advance. In Bucks County, in cooperation with BCHIP, Grand View Health and St. Luke’s Quakertown, I helped found Volunteer Doctors Care to provide free care to the uninsured. As a leader in PAMED and its subsidiary, the Care Centered Collaborative, I helped connect Pennsylvania independent practices h $4M in Community Care grant funds along with over $900k to practices for their quality care. Previously as PAMED Board Chair, I also helped return over $200M to physician practices across Pennsylvania as a negotiator, and signer of the MCARE lawsuit settlement and also facilitated the successful $45M sale of our KePRO subsidiary to perpetually benefit your PAMED Advocacy, Foundation, and Innovation efforts.
My focus on you as fellow Bucks County physicians is steadfast: Throughout my career, I have championed our issues. As a former BCMS hospital liaison and Board Director, I worked alongside you to improve conditions for physicians and our patients in our community.
As your Vice-President, I amplify your voice and shepherd important initiatives to fruition that benefit our Bucks County practices.
I thank you for your vote for election, John Pagan for Vice-President Director candidates.
