2022 House of Delegates Candidate
Barry J. Snyder, MD, FAAOS -Barry J. Snyder, MD, FAAOS - As a Bucks County physician actively engaged in clinical practice, a Clinical Associate on the faculty of the Perelman School of Medicine of the University of Pennsylvania, and, having served in leadership roles in organized medicine, I have been committed to clinical, academic, and organized medicine in local, regional, state, and national leadership positions. Within PAMED, I served on the Board of Trustees for 8 years and the Specialty Leadership Cabinet before and during that tenure. Other PAMED seats have been on committees for strategic planning, patient advocacy, political advocacy, imaging task force, and health information technology task force. I was President of the BCMS and served in other leadership capacities on the BCMS Board of Directors. I have represented Bucks and Montgomery Counties within the PAMED House of Delegates as recently as last year, and am familiar with its parliamentary protocol.
As a political and patient advocate, I am knowledgeable of current issues and frequent legislators in Harrisburg and Washington, D.C. on behalf of physicians and the patients we serve. With those advocacy groups, I am among a select group of Bucks County physicians who serve on the Physician’s Advisory Board to the Pennsylvania 1st Congressional District Representative.
Given the foregoing background and my sustained commitment, including an inveterate familiarity with the PAMED House of Delegates, I believe I am well-versed and qualified to continue to represent the Bucks County community in Hershey this October.
